The place
Every Friday the Spui fills up with trestle tables of used books, most of them Dutch, some of them remarkable. It has been going for decades and the same dealers stand in the same places. Nobody is in a hurry and nobody will talk to you unless you ask, which is the correct way to run a book market.
Before you go
Fridays only, and it packs up in the late afternoon. Bring cash and something to carry them in.
