The place
It started as a beer house for the men building the Westerkerk and it has been pouring ever since. There is a billiard table, a row of jenever glasses, and a bar where the regulars stand rather than sit. Order a kopstootje and you get a shot filled to the very brim, which you bend down to and drink without using your hands. Nobody will explain this to you.
